PartCatalog.com has designed a map specifically about the most popular popular Tesla models models in your State.
The map above is based on geotagged twitter data in the last month, tracking the popularity of each Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA) model (over 25,000 tweets tracked).

As you can see from the map, Elon Musk's Model 3 barely edged out the Model S, with 25 states compared to 22. The Tesla Model X was also able to pick up a couple states (3) while the Roadster did not win any states (not surprising considering its hefty price tag).
Indeed, it appears the only states where the Model X was the most popular Tesla model include: Idaho, North Dakota, and Arkansas
Also interesting is there seems to be a regional component, with the Model 3 winning both coasts, and the Model S taking the middle of the country.
The upcoming Model Y was also tracked, but did not win any states for the most popular Tesla models.
From the data it appears the Model 3 is winning the big states (besides Texas) nabbing most popular in places such as New York, New Jersey, Califonia, Florida, Ohio, Illinois and Pennsylvania.
Partcatalog.com were the ones who put this together, using trends software with direct access to geotagged twitter data.
