There is no shortage of evil characters in HBO’s fantasy series Game of Thrones. Right from shrewd and manipulative Littlefinger to the evil psychopath Ramsey Bolton, negative characters steal almost all of our attention. But the show also has over a dozen innocent characters that don’t think of doing anything but good to anyone (well, almost anyone). Here we take a look at the most innocent characters in Game of Thrones.

10- Rickon Stark
Young Rickon didn’t get much screen time and died without having an impressive storyline. But he never did anything wrong as long as he was alive. The sweet kid met a gruesome death at the hands of Ramsey Bolton in the Battle of the Bastards.
9- Meera Reed
Daughter of Howland Reed, Meera does an excellent job of protecting and taking care of people around her. She took her brother Jojen and Brandon Stark beyond the Wall, where Brandon became the Three-Eyed Raven. After Hodor’s heart-wrenching death, Meera was the one who kept Bran alive, with a little help from Benjen Stark.
8- Podrick Payne
“There has never lived a more loyal squire,” said Tyrion Lannister to Podrick. Podrick is loyal, innocent, humble, and a damn good singer. Podrick has served Tyrion and Brienne of Tarth, and served them both with utmost dedication. He is a fan-favorite character. Though not a skilled warrior, Podrick has survived the Battle of Blackwater Bay and the Battle of Winterfell.
7- Missandei
The most trusted adviser to Daenerys Targaryen, Missandei was kidnapped and sold as a slave child. She has been loyal to Daenerys, serving as her translator and adviser. She remains good at heart despite all the brutal killings happening around her. Her death at the hands of The Mountain has been one of the most shocking events of Season 8.
6- Gilly
Craster’s daughter-wife has been through a lot. Gilly is a fundamentally good-hearted girl abused by her father. She managed to escape Craster’s Keep, lived in Mole’s Town, defended Samwell Tarly when Randyll Tarly insulted his son, and is raising Little Sam. She’s happy now. Why shouldn’t she be? She’s pregnant again.
5- Hodor
The ‘sweet giant’ might not understand politics, but he was loyal to the Starks of Winterfell. He happily carried Bran Stark around without ever complaining once. Hodor is a simple-minded and kind-hearted person not suited for the brutal world of Game of Thrones. He died holding the door to save Bran Stark from the army of the undead.
4- Myrcella Baratheon
Daughter of Cersei and Jamie Lannister, Myrcella is one of the most innocent characters on the show. She was close to her younger brother Tommen, and loved Prince Trystane Martell of Dorne. Myrcella died for no fault of hers. She was killed by Ellaria Sand, the paramour of Oberyn Martell.
3- Samwell Tarly
Samwell Tarly has killed a white walker and a Thenn. He has read all the right books to provide the right information at the right time to his brothers of the Night’s Watch. Sam is loyal to his friend Jon Snow. He helped Gilly and Little Sam escape Craster’s Keep, and has managed to keep them alive against all odds.
2- Shireen Baratheon
One of the simplest, sweetest and kindest souls in Game of Thrones. A victim of Greyscale since childhood, Shireen loved reading books and teaching others how to read. Her death was one of the most heart-wrenching moments in the entire show. She was burned alive as a sacrifice to the Lord of Light by her own power-hungry father.
1- Tommen Baratheon
Tommen is the most innocent character in Game of Thrones – a King who doesn’t know how to play the Game of Thrones. Almost everyone he trusts and loves has manipulated him and used him – including his mother Cersei and his wife Margaery. While his elder brother Joffrey was an evil psychopath who enjoyed cruelty, Tommen was a sweet and innocent child who wanted to be a good king.
