Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 4: The COD Series Is Coming Back To Life

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 – Or is it?

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 is actually not  the name of the newest installment in Infinity Ward’s epic game series. It will simply be called Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. If this seems like a remake of the 4 unit in the series, there is a reason for that. Infinity Ward realized after developing the third Modern Warfare game that the world they had created wasn’t quite true to what we see today. So, they decided to do a slight reset with this launch.

Jacob Minkoff is the single player design director for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4. According to The Verge  Infinity Ward has chosen to rehash some of its story line in the new game. “There were just so many things that made it bear no resemblance to the world we see today. To make a new Modern Warfare game in 2019, we had to put to bed that old storyline. But it’s still Modern Warfare.” Many of the characters, such as Captain Price, will be present in the new game. However, they will be placed in more modern settings. The company hopes this will make the game resemble the real world more closely than the last installment did.

Gritty Gameplay

According to Minkoff, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 will be intense and gritty. He warns that the single player campaign will include some very bloody battle scenes, but explains that this is necessary to show the truth of war. The company is walking a fine line between compelling gameplay and offensive material, but Minkoff says they are not going to be able to please everyone. He also indicated that the game is not intended to broadcast a political message, but simply to bring the reality of war to the end user. The single player campaign will be engaging, emotionally brutal at times, and scripted to force players to make decisions in the heat of battle.

Multiplayer

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 will have an awesome multiplayer platform according to Digital Spy. If it is as successful as earlier installments of the game, there will be no shortage of servers to engage in battles between online players. However, this time, it will also support cross platform play between PlayStation, xBox and PC. This means that for the first time every all platforms will be able to play on the same server, eliminating restrictions previously seen in the gaming community. this means clans will now be able to fight together no matter which platform they use. This is a big step and will doubtless make this one of the most popular FPS games every released. Pre-order deals are available now on Amazon and an exclusive UK deal. The game is set to launch on October 25, and already people are lining up to take advantage of pre-release packages.
