BOSTON -- A new Care2 petition is calling for Gillette, the company behind popular shaving and personal care products, which recently changed its tagline to "The Best Men Can Be," to remove its name from the home of the New England Patriots and New England Revolution, after owner Robert Kraft was charged in a human trafficking sting operation for solicitation. The Care2 petition has been signed by over 13,000.

The Care2 petition was started after reports detailed that Robert Kraft was caught by police having sex with workers at Orchids of Asia Day Spa in Florida on two separate occasions. The sting operation exposed that the workers, mostly from China, were lured to America with the promise of regular massage therapy work. However, when they got there, they were forced into performing sex work.
Gillette recently changed its tagline to "The Best Man Can Be," launching a viral video, with nearly 30 million views, that represented the brand's commitment to promoting healthy representations of what masculinity means – a decision made in response to the #MeToo movement.
Procter & Gamble has had naming rights to the home of the New England Patriots and New England Revolution since August 2002, and in 2010 signed a 15 year extension that includes exclusive naming and sponsorship rights of Gillette Stadium until the 2031 NFL season.
“Robert Kraft believed his power would protect him from being held accountable for exploiting vulnerable women forced into sex slavery. This is exactly the kind of behavior Gillette said it will stand against,” said Care2's Rebecca Gerber. “It's nice to see a brand use their influence for good, but now it's time to see if they will actually back up their words with action.”
