Bioware’s Latest Update For Anthem Doesn’t Fix Quick Play Issue

Updated on

Anthem developer Bioware came up with the first major patch for the game on Thursday. The patch, as was expected, came with multiple fixes, including those for loot and tethering. However, one specific bug that has been troubling users for a long time remains unfixed even now.

Anthem Quick Play bug still not fixed

Bioware’s latest patch doesn’t fix the Anthem Quick Play bug, notes a report from tech site PiunikaWeb. Following the update yesterday, several users took to Twitter to complain about the Anthem Quick Play bug still showing up.

“@EAHelp @anthemgame ur quick play random mission still has tons of bugs. If not getting stuck in 95% loading screen, I’m getting summoned in missions where doors are locked and can’t really proceed with mission. C’mon man!!! Sheesh!” one user tweeted.

Users have long been reporting Quick Play being broken. Players specifically say that it often gets impossible to progress in the Quick Play mode, meaning there are no waypoints to follow and objectives also don’t update.

“I’ve gone into 6 mission that have had various issues like 1) the compass icon tells us where to go, but we can’t leave the spawn location or get ported back to it repeatedly. 2) we can’t revive other javelins, 3) we complete an objective but the mission will not progress,” one user complained on the EA forum.

As of now, there are no comments from the developer over the Anthem Quick Play bug. However, the developer did recently acknowledge the issue, saying the company is looking into it.

“This is on our radar, we’re looking into it!” the developer said in a Reddit post.

But, as the players said, the issue persists even after the latest update. There is no workaround as well. So, players for now have no choice but to avoid the Quick Play mode.

What’s fixed?

Meanwhile, Bioware’s latest update fixes two issues based on user feedback. Users have complained of the inscriptions being too random and also not relevant for the items that they are attached to. Now, the update ensures that the inscriptions better match the items they are attached to.

“Items will no longer have inscriptions on them that are not appropriate for that specific item,” read the changelog of the update.

It must be noted that the updated inscriptions will only apply to the newly found items, and not to the items already in the player’s vault. This seems a small change, but for players, it will help them avoid picking trash loot.

Bioware has also informed that the “tethering timer for missions has been increased. Players should now have more time to catch up to their Squad before seeing a countdown timer.”

Bioware’s latest update also removes the common (green) and uncommon (white) for the loot drops at level 30. This change will allow high-level players to get better, high tier weaponry. Though it’s a small change, it will reward players who have played the game for hours but their loot is filled with disappointment and terrible gear.

The threshold for crafting Masterworks has also been brought down from 25 embers to 15. This change will allow players to craft the masterwork more easily.

Overall, these changes aim to make loots faster and easier for the players. Moreover, the update addresses regular complaints from the players that getting the best gear in the post-game isn’t that smooth.
