Samsung has yet to announce the Galaxy 10 line-up, but like with previous Galaxy devices, the Korean firm is allowing users to reserve one early. To reserve a Galaxy S10, all you need to do is sign up on Samsung’s website. This will entitle you to a number of other perks as well.
How to get $550 off the Galaxy S10
When you reserve a Galaxy S10, you will be eligible for up to $550 off if you trade in an eligible device. This seems to be a good offer as Samsung has yet to announce the price of the upcoming phone.
“We know you know what is coming soon. Reserve today and save up to $550 on your next Galaxy device,” Samsung said.
Samsung is known for making generous offers prior to the launch of its new devices. For example, the company offered up to $450 off the Note 9 with an eligible trade-in.
Like with previous programs, the newest phones — the Note 9, Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus, iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, iPhone X, iPhone XR, iPhone XS and XS Max, LG V40 ThinQ, and the Google Pixel 3 and 3XL – will likely fetch you more credit. The amount of credit drops depending on the age of the phone you trade in. Any Samsung flagship since the Galaxy S6 can be traded in. The iPhone 5s and newer are also eligible to trade in, and so are all of Google’s Pixel flagships. Some Motorola and LG models also qualify as trade-ins.
However, Samsung also says “not all Galaxy device versions are eligible for this offer,” which means there’s a chance that buyers won’t be able to apply their trade-in credit to the budget S10 model due to its lower price. Samsung’s cheaper Galaxy S10e is expected to start at $749 in the U.S. The standard S10 model could be priced at $899, while the plus-sized variant could start at $999.
Other perks if you reserve a Galaxy S10 now
In addition to the trade-in, if you reserve a Galaxy 10, you also get a $50 credit straight away. You can use the credit to buy accessories after you order the phone. Another benefit you get from reserving the handset now is early access to pre-order the device and guaranteed delivery by March 8, which is likely the launch date of the S10.
To take advantage of all these perks, all you need to do is fill out a simple reservation form and then purchase the handset when it’s available. The form asks for your name, email and zip code. You will also be asked which model you want to buy. You can choose an unlocked variant or models from Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, Sprint, and U.S. Cellular, so the reserve page does confirm that there will be an unlocked version of the S10.
It must be noted that filling out the form does not lock you into buying anything or cost you any money. Rather, when the phone goes on sale, you will receive an email with all the information that you will need to buy the S10, including specs. You can then decide if you want to go ahead with the purchase or not.
You can reserve the handset through 11:59 p.m. Eastern on Feb. 20, which means pre-orders will start after that. Once the pre-orders open, those who reserved the handset will have up to 72 hours to complete the purchase process.

What to expect from the Galaxy S10
If you are planning to buy a Galaxy S10, reserving it first would be a smart thing to do, as you can see from all the perks described above. If you are still unsure and want to find out the phone’s specs first, then you will be pleased to know that the full list of specs may have just been leaked. The alleged leak (via GSMArena) came from an anonymous retail industry employee who provided images of retail cheat sheets for the upcoming phone.
The cheat sheet lists three phones with the code-names “Beyond 1,” “Beyond 2” and “Beyond 0,” which are assumed to be the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 Plus and Galaxy S10e, respectively. This alleged leak also appears to confirm that the S10 Plus will have 12 GB of RAM and 1 TB of internal storage. Further, the leak suggests that the 1 TB variant could come in Luxurious Ceramic White and Luxurious Ceramic Black.
Another important revelation is that the Galaxy S10e is expected to feature a dual-lens camera setup on the rear with a standard lens and an ultra-wide lens. Earlier it was reported that the handset would come with a standard lens and a telephoto lens like the Galaxy S9 Plus.
Unfortunately, the latest leak doesn’t indicate any prices, which for now seem to be the only missing information on the Galaxy S10 line-up.
