Google, it seems, is not yet done with Black Friday deals. Earlier the search giant revealed its hardware deals, including discounts on the Pixel 3. Now, Google has come up with Google Play’s 2018 Cyber Week deals or simply called the Play Store deals to make your weekend even more fun.
Play Store deals – what is on offer?
Google Play Store deals include offers on games, books, and video rentals. The most attractive deal is the one-day offer of charging only 99 cents for any of its movie rentals on Thanksgiving Day. Further, the search giant is also offering up to 80% off on big game titles. Also, there are discounts on shows including Game of Thrones and American Horror Story.
If you love reading books, the Play Store deals include discounts on ebooks or audiobooks. Further, big discounts are also available on yearly subscriptions to apps.
“The holiday season is nearing. Awaiting their school break, kids are cheering. And we’re pretty excited over here, too. We’ve got deals for kids, gamers, bookworms and you. So check ‘em out below, find your fave. Head to the Google Play Store—and dollars you’ll save,” Google says in a blog post announcing the Play Store deals.

Reigns for $0.99, a savings of $2; Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions for $3.59, a savings of $8.40; Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic for $2.99, a savings of $7; Motorsport Manager Mobile 3 for $0.99, a savings of $3; Evoland 2 for $0.99, a saving of $6; The Amazing Spider-Man 2 for $1.49, a saving of $5.50; Monument Valley for $0.99, a saving of $3; Monument Valley 2 for $0.99, a savings of $4. Other popular games on discount are Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery and more.
If you are not much into gaming, Google Play’s 2018 Cyber Week deals include a discount of 50% on yearly subscriptions to Calm, Fabulous, Run With Map My Run, and Freeletics. On the Headspace meditation app, you get a discount of 40%.
If you are planning to watch a movie, Play Store deals allow you to rent any movie (new releases as well) on Thanksgiving for just $0.99. Some of the new releases that are available for rental are:
BlacKkKlansman for $0.99 on Thanksgiving, a savings of $5; Christopher Robin for $0.99 on Thanksgiving, a savings of $4; Crazy Rich Asians for $0.99 on Thanksgiving, a savings of $5; Skyscraper for $0.99 on Thanksgiving, a savings of $5.
Furthermore, Google Play’s 2018 Cyber Week deals also include Starz for $5 per month for the first three months. Many more popular TV shows and movies are also covered under the deal including Game of Thrones; American Horror Story; Mamma Mia 2; and Teen Titans Go! To The Movies.
Talking of books, the search giant is offering “serious discounts” on many audiobooks and ebooks including titles like Never, Never by James Patterson; You are a Badass by Jen Sincero; Every Breath by Nicholas Sparks; and The Shape of Water by Guillermo del Toro and Daniel Kraus.

Hardware deals from Google
Google has already announced its Black Friday deals on hardware. The deals cover the newly released Pixel 3 devices, new Google Home Hub, Nest devices, and Chromecast dongles. Though there is no offer on the newly released Pixel Slate, several deals are available on laptops like the Pixelbook and Chromebooks.
Google is giving you a chance to buy the Google Home Hub for just $99 (a savings of $50) this Black Friday. At $99, it is even cheaper than the display-less Google Home speaker. Google Home Mini is available for $25, down from $49, while the Google Home Max is selling for $349, down from $399.
On the Pixel 3 devices, Google is offering a buy one, get the second handset at half price. From Nov. 22, Google Store will be selling the Pixel 3 and 3 XL at $649 and $699, respectively, a discount of $150 on the smaller handset and $200 on the bigger one. Then on Cyber Monday, there will be no discount on Pixel 3 handsets, but you can get a $50 credit toward the Google Store and a free Google Home Hub.
Further, the Google Clips camera will be sold for $125, down from $250, while the Pixel Buds will sell for $109, down from $159.
