“Post-financial crisis, the cry is ‘we need uncorrelated assets that protect us from a down turn.' Then you have a 9 year bull market into ‘why do we have these stupid assets that are around to protect us from a downturn?’ You’ve got to fight that tendency. That’s what good investing is. Find something you believe in and stick with it,” explains Asness.
