The Instituitonal Investor awards just open and if you read any sell side research you will see a lot of requests for votes. Specifically, one of the most coveted of the awards is the annual Institutional Investor survey for the All-American Research Team. Oliver Chen and his team at Cowen put a little fun into the pitch and made a short video requesting votes for their team. Check out the video and text below.
From Oliver Chen
Subject: This one minute video is very funny & creative, it’s from Cowen’s Director of Research – Spring is Here!
Please check it out when and if you have time! You will see our friendly neighbors in the video who also love active investing. Also, send me any feedback you have on the next kind of videos we should do or anything to pass along to Robert and the creative video team here at Cowen.
As you know, Cowen is one of the few brokers that remains research-centric. Every day, we aim to deliver sophisticated, timely, and Ahead Of The Curve™ ideas that generate alpha for you.
The polls are now open. If you are able to participate in the annual institutional investor poll and if you feel I am one of your top sell-side sources, I would certainly appreciate your advocacy. I would appreciate your support in the Institutional Investor All-America Research Team poll in the Retailing/Department Stores & Specialty Softlines Sector. While we look to our clients' broker votes as our most important judge and critic, Institutional Investor is very important to us, and impacts our franchise throughout the year.
We truly appreciate your investment of time and hope you will enjoy our special video entitled, "Let's Get This Over With, People" intended to add a little levity and capture the sentiment that perhaps best reflects how most of us feel about polling "season."
Thank you for your engagement and support!
Now I will turn it over to Cowen’s Head of Research, Robert Fagin:
We do value your support in the annual Institutional Investor survey. If we have been helpful to your investment process, please consider voting for Oliver Chen in the “Retailing/Department Stores & Specialty Softlines” category. We are grateful for your support!
So does Oliver have your vote or are you not impressed? Comment below and tell us who you plan to support.
