At this time, the FDNY is describing the Trump Tower fire as a small electrical fire on the roof at the skyscraper on Fifth Avenue. No evacuations are being reported, and firefighters knocked the blaze down quickly. At this time, the Trump family is not in residence at the high-rise in midtown.

A spokesperson for the Fire Department of the City of New York told local media that more than 125 firefighters responded to the Trump Tower fire. The spokesperson said the fire started around 7 a.m. Eastern in the HVAC unit located on the tower’s roof. No injuries are being reported, and it’s still not clear what caused the fire.
A security detail has been assigned to Trump Tower in New York since President Donald Trump took office last year. The tower houses both residential and commercial units. First lady Melania Trump and their son Barron lived in the New York property during Trump’s first months in office prior to moving officially to the White House.

Fire broke out at Trump Tower in Manhattan early this morning. Images and video from the scene of the Trump Tower fire shows more than 10 firefighters battling the blaze on the tower’s roof. A large plume of white smoke billowed from one of the upper floors.
Oddly enough a structure at the New York property where Hillary Clinton, President Trump’s opponent in the 2016 election, caught fire last week. At this time it appears to be just an odd coincidence. An official told the media that the fire at the Clinton home was caused by a fan in a bathroom. The fire at the Clinton property sparked a number of fake news stories, so it’s probably only a matter of time before an inferno of fake news stories around the Trump Tower fire starts to appear.
