FOX Business Network (FBN) continued its dominance over CNBC, besting the network in Business Day viewers during the historic financial news week of January 15th – January 19th, according to Nielsen Media Research. FBN’s Business Day coverage saw a 33 percent advantage over rival CNBC with 277,000 total viewers compared to CNBC’s 208,000 for the week.

Additionally, as the Dow passed the momentous 26,000 mark on Wednesday, January 17th, FBN’s Business Day coverage saw a 51 percent advantage over CNBC with 302,000 viewers compared to CNBC’s 200,000.
Marking 74 consecutive weeks as the leader in business news, Lou Dobbs Tonight (7-8p/ET) once again delivered the number one rated program in business television with 391,000 total viewers. Along with Dobbs, FBN’s Varney & Co (9a-12p/ET), Countdown to the Closing Bell with Liz Claman (3-4p/ET), CAVUTO Coast to Coast (12-2p-/ET), and After the Bell (4-5p/ET) were the five top rated programs last week.
For the 37th straight week, Risk & Reward (5-6p/ET) topped its CNBC competition with 205,000 total viewers, while Varney & Co. scored its 35th consecutive weekly win in total viewers against CNBC’s Squawk Alley/Squawk on the Street with 327,000 viewers.
