New Street Fighter 5 Fighters / Characters Launch With Season 3

Updated on

Capcom has recently revealed the new Street Fighter 5 Fighters, launching with the upcoming Season 3.

New Street Fighter 5 Fighters

The new Street Fighter 5 fighters will be a part of the game’s Character Pass 3. Fans will be excited to see the return of characters such as Sakura, Codi, Sagat, and Blank. There are a couple of newcomers, however, that may be able to add something fresh to the Street Fighter lineup. The new characters go by Falke and G, pictures of which are included among all of the new street Fighter 5 fighters listed below.

Sakura seems to have grown up a bit, as there seems to be a more mature design for her character. The gameplay trailer below gives players a glimpse of her gameplay, as well as the aesthetics of the new character. Most excitingly, fans get to check out both of her V-trigger moves. Sakura will be available on January 16th alongside the launch of Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition. The rest of the new fighters will release gradually over the upcoming months. Unfortunately, we got a little less information on the other heroes, but considering Sakura’s popularity from past games, that’s to be expected.

So far, Street Fighter 5 has released two Season Character Passes. The previously released passes as well as the newest Character Pass 3 are set to be released in the upcoming Street Fighter 5: Arcade edition. So if you haven’t yet gotten your hands on the title, you’ll be able to enjoy all of the new Street Fighter 5 fighters with a single purchase.

Each season has added a total of six characters, marking a grand total of 18 new fighters since the game’s launch back in 2016. The original launch of Street Fighter 5 received mixed reviews from critics and fans alike, with many feeling like the game was rushed rather than polished. However, the Arcade Edition seems to have improved the gameplay experience, rounding it out to the exciting and competitive title it was meant to be from the start.

If you already own the original version of Street Fighter 5, the Arcade update will be available for no additional cost. However, the new characters won’t unlock in this case — you’ll have to either use a Season 3 Character pass, or unlock them via fight money.

Street Fighter 5 released in 2016, and is available now for PlayStation 4 and PC.
