New LG G7 Concept Images And Potential Specs

Updated on

YouTube channel DBS Designing has recently released a new concept video for the LG G7. It’s important to keep in mind that this isn’t a leak of the smartphone itself, rather an artist’s ideas of what the phone may look like. Still, it’s an interesting exercise in creativity and gives us a sense of what a next gen smartphone from LG might looks like.

LG G7 Concept and Potential Specs

The video below should give you a sense of what the LG G7 might look like. You’ll notice that the handset has extremely thin bezels, following in the trend of recent smartphones releasing with nearly edge-to-edge screens. One of the most reassuring aspects of the design is the inclusion of a 3.5mm headphone jack — a feature that has controversially been missing from a lot of newer high-end phones.

Next to the headphone jack at the bottom of the phone is a Type-C Usb port as well as a loudspeaker. For some reason this rendering lacks any sort of power button, but does include volume up and down buttons on the left of the phone.

The LG G7 features a dual rear camera setup as well as a dual-LED flash. The front camera has two 8 megapixel cameras next to the phone’s earpiece, allowing you take the perfect selfie As is the case with many new phones, the artist has assumed that LG’s yet-unannounced flagship will be water and dust resistant — a certification that is becoming the new industry standard as devices get more expensive and technology for durability and protection advances.

While we have no idea the colors that will be available upon the launch of the G7, the video does include several different finishes, which would be great to see with the new phone’s release. While black is a timeless and classic color for phones, it’s nice to have an opportunity to take a departure from the norm.

The concept features a 3500 mAh battery, which is a little smaller than some of the top-of-the-line phones that other manufacturers have to offer. It will be interesting to see how the battery life would compare to other smartphones on the market, especially with a phone that will be competing from upcoming releases like the Galaxy Note 9, which is rumored to have a huge 4800 mAh capacity. The concept does include fast charging, however, so it may not take you long to top your G7 up if you’re in a hurry.

The display in the video is a 5.8-inch QHD+ design with rounded corners, and features a built-in fingerprint scanner – a technology that’s rumored to be included in a number of upcoming flagships. As far as power goes, the LG G7 won’t disappoint; with 8 GB of RAM, the phone can handle pretty much anything you’ll throw at it. 128 GB of expandable storage means you’ll have plenty of room for your favorite apps and games.

While this phone is a concept and the LG G7 could be radically different, it’s still fun to imagine what we may be seeing from the manufacturer in the coming years. Keep an eye out for timely updates once we know the true technical specs of this upcoming phone.
