Instead, it seems that there will be a new generation of 10nm processors released for Android devices next year.
Camera upgrades
Another innovation listed in the Samsung press release is the Isocell SLIM 2X7. This could lead to major cameras improvements next year, as the new technology should deliver slimmer camera modules. This has inevitably lead to a Samsung Galaxy S9 rumors which suggest that the next generation handset will be the thinnest ever released by the Korean corporation.
It also backs up another whisper close to the Samsung supply chain that the manufacturer will produce a 24-megapixel camera in a 2018 mobile. This has been more readily linked with the Galaxy Note 9 than the Galaxy S9, but Tetracell and remosaic technology, and the small 0.9?m pixel size listed by Samsung, will indeed enable a 24-megapixel image sensor to be fitted in a slimmer camera module.
