OnePlus 5T Price To Remain The Same, Starting At $505

Updated on

OnePlus has been supplying some great smartphones at great prices, and over the past few weeks we have seen a lot of hype building in anticipation of their next flagship device; the OnePlus 5T.

The launch of the OnePlus 5T comes just a few months after the launch of the OnePlus 5. The OnePlus 5 had huge success due to its price point and specifications.

Pete Lau, the CEO at OnePlus, recently tweeted that the price of smartphone components is on the rise. This led a lot of people to believe that the OnePlus 5T price would also be on the rise too.

OnePlus 5T Price

Thankfully, the price of the OnePlus 5T is not rising like expected. A trusted source confirmed to TechDipper that the OnePlus 5T will carry the same price as the OnePlus 5.

That’s Rs 32,999 for the 6GB RAM, 64GB ROM version, and Rs 37,999 for the 8GB RAM, 128GB Rom version. In US dollars, that puts the price at around $505 and $581 respectively.

While many users are thrilled that the price of the OnePlus 5T will remain the same as the OnePlus 5, there are consumers who feel a little concerned, that they have spent exactly the same amount of money, just a few months back, for a now older version of the phone, with a smaller screen and less power.

We will find out more about the flagship smartphone tomorrow, when the OnePlus team take the stage for their launch event, but this could be one of – if not, the – least expensive smartphones being released this year with the Snapdragon 835 chip and the tall 18:9 display ratio.

Why Is The OnePlus 5 So Popular?

Largely due to the price and the incredible value for money. The OnePlus 5T rivals some of the most expensive smartphones on the market, but coming in at a very affordable price point. It also has great features such as Dash Charge, which claims to charge your battery in just 30 minutes, giving you enough power to last throughout the day.

The OnePlus 5T also sports a dual camera, like most of the more expensive smart phones, ensuring better picture quality and clarity.

Conclusion

Almost every review you find online for the OnePlus 5 is a good one. Mashable called it excellent on every level, the device gets nothing but praises.

A budget friendly smartphone, packed full of useful and intuitive features, and with some incredible processing power – what’s not to like?

Tune in to the launch event tomorrow, November 16 at 11AM ET to get the full details!
