The OnePlus 5 is one of the best “flagship killers” on the market today and, unsurprisingly, people are incredibly excited for the next launch from the company behind the popular devices. They are known for packing in high end features and incorporating a quality design with a low price point that puts flagship devices to shame. Now, a new video shows off a OnePlus 6 concept that has us getting more and more excited for the upcoming launch.

Of course, this is just a concept video but you can’t deny that the video has you drooling at the thought of the OnePlus 6. The people behind the video from DBS Designing incorporated some popular flagship features that OnePlus will definitely be looking to emulate when they finally release their next device. The bezel-less design is sleek and sexy. Also, the phone shows off a very slim profile. And, for you music fans that were getting worried; yes, there is a headphone jack shown in this OnePlus 6 concept.

One the back side of the device is a vertically aligned dual camera sensor, similar to what we see on the iPhone X. The rest of the back side is very clean which does make me wonder where they think the fingerprint sensor is going. If the home button is gone and there’s nothing on the back then that either means that they missed it on this concept design or they believe OnePlus will embed the fingerprint sensor underneath the display for the OnePlus 6 release. That would be a huge win for the company as the idea of an embedded fingerprint sensor has been bounced around for quite some time with companies like Samsung and Apple having been rumored to be working on the feature. Obviously, however, the idea was scrapped in favor of a traditional fingerprint sensor or no fingerprint sensor at all in the case of the iPhone X.

If you’re like me then the big question on your mind after seeing this OnePlus 6 concept video is when the OnePlus 6 release date will be. That’s kind of up in the air right now. OnePlus has said that they won’t be releasing a OnePlus 5T. This is because Qualcomm did not release an iterative update to the Snapdragon 835 processor. With no new processor to use, OnePlus either had to release a OnePlus 5T with the same chipset as the OnePlus 5 or wait until the OnePlus 6 release date. It looks like the latter option won out. This could be good new for those who can’t wait for the new OnePlus 6 as there are rumors that OnePlus is going to push up the OnePlus 6 release date in order to compensate for the lack of a OnePlus 5T. So, when is the OnePlus 6 coming out? Hard to say but likely sometime in early 2018. There has been some shortages in OnePlus 5 supply. It’s too early to say if that’s a temporary shortage while OnePlus catches up with stocking their online store or if it is a sign of things to come. Keep your eyes and ears open for more news.

As for specs, the OnePlus 6 will be a true flagship device with (probably) a mid-range price. We are expecting a 5.7-inch QHD+ display, 8GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 845, and a top quality dual sensor camera. Of course, more specific specs will certainly leak as the OnePlus 6 release date grows closer. What do you think of this OnePlus 6 concept video and the rumored specs? Is there anything that will make you 100% committed to picking up this phone when it gets launched? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below!
