This Luxury iPhone X Makes The Regular One Look Less Appealing

If you have boatloads of money sitting idle in the bank or a few thousand dollars lying under the pillow, don’t buy Apple’s regular iPhone X. The media has been crying out that the iPhone X is ridiculously expensive. Yeah, maybe. But it doesn’t seem expensive to you. Besides, it comes only in black and white colors, neither of which go with your persona. Finnish luxury designer Legend has come up with a luxury iPhone X collection to cater to the needs of people like you. If you buy the regular iPhone X for a thousand dollars, you might regret your decision.

Legend’s luxury iPhone X collection starts at 2,950 euros

Legend has started taking pre-orders for its highly customized range of luxury iPhone X devices. The phones are covered in gold, diamond, and other precious metals. Expert artists at Legend can also further customize the handset to your specifications. Maybe you want to add a custom logo or some special stones? Each luxury iPhone X comes with 256GB of internal storage as standard.

The Finnish designer will ship your device in a luxury retail box. The box set includes 24k gold earpods, a certificate of authenticity, and a custom-made leather pouch. Legend offers the luxury iPhone X devices in six variants: Aurum, Fusion, Lu, Classique, Momentum, and Corium. Each of them has a different appearance, showing that there are endless design possibilities with the iPhone X.

Aurum is the cheapest version with a price tag of 2,950 euros. It has a 24k gold-plated rear panel, a unique hand-cut black mother of pearls (nacre) Apple logo, and a solid 18k gold rim. Legend will be making only ten units of Aurum. If you want this version, you have to be among the first few to pre-order. If you like, the company can further customize it with bespoke options such as a solid 18k gold monogram, backlit VVS1 diamond logo, and more.

The Fusion edition’s design was inspired by the luxury watch industry. It comes with forged carbon fiber center inlay framed by patterned solid silver plates with black rhodium or platinum plating. If you don’t like the forged carbon fiber, you can have it replaced with exotic leather, mother of pearl, or figured wood. The Fusion iPhone X is going to set you back by 3,390 euros.

Then comes the Lu edition with a price tag of 3,590 euros. It takes inspiration from the Chinese temples. The first thing you’ll notice on the back of the Lu iPhone X is the Dragon centerpiece that is 24k gold. The eyes of the Dragon are hand set with genuine red diamonds. The Apple logo and bezels are encrusted with 10.70 karat VVS1 diamonds. The corners are covered with platinum and other ornaments.

The most expensive variant is Momentum, which is going to cost you 3,790 euros. It has a 0.3 karat genuine red diamond center on the back, along with VVS1 diamond halo. The bullseye is surrounded by green turban abalone and mother of pearl inlays. Legend claims it takes 65 man-hours to craft the Momentum. You can further customize it with precious metal plating options such as platinum, 24k gold, or rose gold.

The Corium edition has a 24k gold plated rear panel with genuine crocodile leather inlay. You can also substitute it with other exotic leathers of your choice. The Apple logo is made using hand-cut mother of pearl, and is decorated with solid 18k gold. It costs 3,190 euros.

The Classique version has a simple yet incredibly beautiful design. It has a custom VVS1 grade diamond logo, which is illuminated when the phone is in use. You can adjust the brightness of the logo. It costs 3,290 euros.

KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo told investors today that Apple will have only 2-3 million iPhone X units available at the time of launch. It will sell out within hours when the pre-orders go live on Oct.27. The phone is expected to be in short supply throughout the holiday season. It means Legend will have to be among the first to place pre-orders to secure the units for its luxury iPhone X collection.
