How To Track Your iPhone X Pre-Order / Shipment / Delivery?

Updated on

Given that the shipment date can often be unpredictable, here’s how to track your iPhone X pre-order.

Anyone who skipped on buying the iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus, two of this year’s flagship smartphones, and waited patiently for the iPhone X official launch, can finally pre-order their brand-new iPhone X. The pre-orders went live on Oct. 27, while the smartphone will start shipping on Nov. 3. There was a lot of hype going on about the mentioned smartphone, and now that the huge Oct. 27 date is behind us, and you pre-ordered the newest iPhone X, all you have to do is be a little more patient before Apple’s iPhone X ships to you.

You’re usually informed by Apple regarding the estimated time before the smartphone gets shipped to you. Sometimes shipping takes longer than expected, which can be frustrating. That’s why we wrote a this guide about how to track your iPhone X pre-order.

As some people who pre-ordered the iPhone X have experienced, their orders have already been shipped from China via UPS. However, Apple’s system doesn’t update the information, instead showing the pre-orders as “Preparing for Shipment.”

Unfortunately, Apple isn’t always capable of informing customers about what is going on with a pre-order. That’s why customers are often encouraged, or forced to do some research themselves, in order to be better informed about the pre-orders.

If you used the opportunity to pre-order the iPhone X, and you aren’t sure whether the smartphone started shipping out or not, you would normally go to Apple’s site to check your iPhone X’s status. As expected, Apple’s system will inform you that the smartphone is “Preparing For Shipment,” and that it’s going to get shipped out next week. But, you can obtain the tracking number by going to the UPS website and provide your details regarding the iPhone X pre-order. That way, you can get the tracking number for your pre-order, before Apple provides it to you. Here’s how to track your iPhone X pre-order.

Step 1:

As mentioned above, head over to the UPS website, and navigate to the website’s “Track by Reference” page, you can access it here.

Step 2:

Add your phone number which is connected to the order on Apple’s site and located under the “Shipment Reference” label. Also, add your zip code in the “Destination ZIP/Postal Code” label. Only put in the numbers, ensuring that you left out all dashes and brackets.

Step 3:

Take a look at what the site provides you with. The site should come back with the package being shipped by UPS in China. From there you can track it.

Unfortunately, not everyone is provided with the iPhone X location or opportunity to track the device before Apple provides the number. However, there shouldn’t be any reason to worry. If your device is expected to arrive soon after the launch day on Nov. 3, that means that you’re one of the lucky customers who will get to use Apple’s newest flagship pretty soon. We hope that your iPhone X will get shipped to you as soon as possible and that you will get to enjoy its gorgeous bezel-less screen, TrueDepth camera, and many other innovative features.

Make sure to check the status of your smartphone, and if you could, leave a comment about whether you succeeded in finding it via the UPS website. Happy tracking!
