iPhone X pre-orders are scheduled to begin on October 27 at 12:01 a. m. Pacific. 3:01 a. m. Eastern, while the smartphone will be officially launched in stores on November 3. The price tag of the phone is pretty hefty, as it starts at $1,000. While it will be affordable enough for some people, the iPhone X might be too big of a bite for others. With that in mind, many major mobile carriers offer discounts and gifts to attract customers. For example, in the U.K., Vodafone is offering some customers free AirPods.

As you may already know, two major U.S. carriers, Sprint and T-Mobile, offered a discount that will cater to customers who can’t afford to buy Apple’s iPhone X at full price. Still, a lot of carriers offer freebies and promotions for their customers to encourage them to buy the pricey handset.

In the U.K., Vodafone and perhaps some other carriers will provide free accessories for the first customers to buy one. The first 1,000 customers who pre-order the iPhone X through Vodafone will get free AirPods. Still, you have to follow these steps in order to qualify. You will need to register to purchase the iPhone X first and participate in the promotion, which you can accept once the company emails you in reply. Vodafone UK announced these steps to take to participate in the promotion.

Step One: Contact the carrier online or over the phone or visit a local Vodafone UK store between October 27 and October 30 to express interest in pre-ordering the iPhone X.

Step Two: You will then get an email inviting you to pre-order the iPhone X and participate in the promotion. Vodafone stated that new customers will have to use the same email address that they used to receive the invitation to place their order for the iPhone X. Current customers will have to include their phone number, which is quoted in the invitation email.

Step 3: Users who pre-ordered will receive a text on October 31 confirming their qualification for the free AirPods offer. Vodafone UK also says that customers won’t receive any confirmation at the time they make their pre-order.

The free AirPods will be delivered to the customers who qualified for the promotion starting on December 4 after another confirmation message. Only the customers who place their pre-order for the iPhone X at Vodafone UK will get the free AirPods if they applied for an invitation between October 27-30. If you want to get a pair of free AirPods, you’ll need to be quick because the competition to be one of the first 1,000 customers will be huge.

Other carriers also offer some promotions and discounts. For instance, T-Mobile provides a $300 discount if you trade in certain smartphones if they are in good shape and function well, while Sprint offers a $350 discount if you trade in your old smartphone.

Are you interested in the free AirPods offered by Vodafone UK? If so, better prepare to express your interest in pre-ordering the iPhone X.
