The Spokane Fire chief told local media that the suspect in the Freeman High School Shooting is in custody, and one student was killed in the shooting. Three of the students who were shot are in stable condition, Sacred Heart Hospital told local media. It’s unclear whether there were any more victims in addition to these four, although there was a report that there may have been as many as six victims. Students who were inside the school when it happened reported hearing “at least four shots.”

Parents whose children attend Freeman High are being told to report to the bus entrance gate at Highway 27. The lockdown at the school systems that was triggered by the Freeman High School shooting has been lifted.

Police and emergency personnel responded to reports of a shooting at Freeman High School in Spokane County, Washington State. Local media are reporting that a suspect has been detained and that multiple injuries were reported in the Freeman High School shooting.

The Spokesman-Review reports that six people were shot in the Freeman High School shooting and the suspect is in custody. The Spokane County sheriff is telling the media that one of the six people who were shot was killed, and the shooter was placed under arrest. Sacred Heart Hospital told KREM-TV that three of the victims who were shot are in stable condition at this time.

Sources reportedly told local NBC affiliate KHQ that students at the high school have been evacuated, and anxious parents began gathering at the gas station that’s close to the nearby store. Police haven’t yet released any instructions yet for parents whose children attend Freeman High.

Administrators for Spokane Public Schools and the Mead District and Central Valley School Districts have placed all the schools on lockdown due to the Freeman High School Shooting. Freeman High is located in Rockford, Washington.
