It seems Microsoft will give away several consoles for free. In a press release, the company informed readers that the promo will run from August 31 until October 4, during which a winner will be selected every 10 minutes. The prize will also include a copy of Forza Motorsport 7 and an Xbox Game Pass subscription for three months.

“When it launches starting Nov. 7, Xbox One X will bring gamers an amazing new level of console power and immersion,” said Xbox’s Corporate Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer – Mike Nichols.

The promo comes with some rules, and all of them are mentioned on Taco Bell’s site. The site includes information about how to enter, restrictions that are imposed, details about the prizes to be won, and most importantly, terms and conditions of participation. There is no fee or payment to be made for entering or winning. The offer can only be take advantage of by legal residents living in the 50 U.S. states and D.C. who are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry.

Microsoft and Taco Bell together again

Taco Bell’s $5 box, which includes a Doritos Locos Taco, a medium fountain drink, the new Steak Quesarito and a Crunchy Taco, will be available at all participating Taco Bell locations until supplies last. The pairing of the powerful flavor of the Steak Quesarito with the world’s most powerful console is bound to attract many and is surely a win-win for both all participants.

Microsoft and Taco Bell entered into a similar partnership when Microsoft launched its first Xbox in 2001. Microsoft has not begun accepting pre-orders for the latest Xbox, and hence, this will be the first opportunity for gamers to ownone. Pre-orders for the console will reportedly open soon.

Marisa Thalberg, a marketing executive with Taco Bell, said, “It’s only fitting that the two brands that do ‘boxes’ best and have some of the greatest fans in the world have joined forces to box up the ultimate food and gaming offer for them.”

It is not immediately clear when the winners will receive their consoles.

For the past few years, Taco Bell has partnered with Sony to promote its various products, such as Sony’s Limited Edition White PS4 Destiny Bundle in 2014, a Limited Edition Gold PS4 with Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection in 2015, and a PSVR launch bundle last year. To win these, the fans were required to buy the $5 Big Box at Taco Bell, notes Gamezone.
