Concept Creator is the source of this Google Pixel 2 XL concept design, with the YouTube channel becoming an increasingly prolific provider of information. Concept Creator has been responsible for several concept designs over the last few months, and this latest concept is particularly intriguing.
What makes this design especially valuable is the fact that it is based on a recently leaked render. It is important to emphasize that the authenticity of this leak has not been completely verified, but it certainly seemed credible when it emerged. This has led Concept Creator to produce a Google Pixel 2 XL concept image which provides us with some idea regarding how this device may turn out.

Combining metal and glass in the design of the smartphone, this handset appears somewhat slimmer and sleeker than the last generation Google Pixel. It is also notable that the fingerprint scanner for the device has been located on the back of the unit, with the glass portion located in the upper section of the rear.
It is on the reverse of this Google Pixel 2 XL concept design that the main camera, dual-tone flash and some attendant sensors can also be found. There is a Google logo alongside these aspects of the smartphone, while the glass on top of the display is noticeably curved. Any physical controls intended for the unit are placed on the right of the device, with volume up, volume down and power / lock buttons notable.
Concept Creator also includes a Type-C USB port on the bottom of the unit, located next to one of the microphones included with the phone. The bezels of the device are extremely slim, so much so that they are virtually non-existent on the side of the device. The upper and lower bezels are somewhat thicker, but still rather slinky.
Another important aspect of this Google Pixel 2 XL concept design is the 3.5mm headphone jack that has been retained on top of the device. This seemingly innocuous aspects of the smartphone has proved quite contentious recently, after Apple chose to remove the port from its iconic iPhone series. Samsung has flatly refused to do the same with its Galaxy devices, and Concept Creator believes that Google will also retain this aspect of the Pixel range when the Pixel 2 hits the stores.
Gray, Blue, Green and Red colors are also offered in this mock-up of the final device. And, overall, it would be reasonable to describe this handset as a cross between the LG G6 and a Samsung Galaxy S8. Which is definitely not a bad thing.
Google Pixel 2 XL Spec info
The Concept Creator YouTube channel is more devoted to creating visual representations of smartphones than delivering inside information or analysis, but some specs have been provided. Thus, it is believed that the Google Pixel 2 XL will include a 12-megaPixel shooter ‘Super Motion Camera’. Not too many details are provided on precisely what the ‘Super Motion Camera’ entails, but it seems that Google will place a particular emphasis on this aspect of the smartphone.
When the Pixel 2 XL ships, it is also expected to contain at least 4GB of RAM memory, although some sources have suggest that Google will even opt for 6GB. The device will be armed with a quad HD display, which is most likely to be 5.5-inches, although other estimates have ranged from 5.7-inches to 6-inches.
The Pixel 2 XL will benefit from the latest Android O operating system, while Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core processor will be the engine room behind the unit. It all adds up to a very competitive smartphone contender, which is also expected to be delivered at a rather affordable $699 price tag.
