Nintendo Switch For $299.99 From Amazon

Updated on

Nintendo has finally raised the curtain on the Nintendo Switch, its first console since 2012. Here are the basics: The Switch will release on March 3, 2017 in the U.S., Japan, Canada, and major European countries. For the U.S., you’ll have to pay $300 to get one. What separates it from other gaming consoles like the Xbox One and PS4, is its ability to transform from a traditional console to an on-the-go handheld. The console comes with two motion-sensitive controllers and a detachable 6.2-inch touch screen. For fans of imports of Japanese exclusives, it was announced the new system will have no region locking, a big break from tradition for Nintendo.

Introducing Nintendo Switch! In addition to providing single and multiplayer thrills at home, the Nintendo Switch system also enables gamers to play the same title wherever, whenever and with whomever they choose. The mobility of a handheld is now added to the power of a home gaming system to enable unprecedented new video game play styles.
