Variations available
There are three versions of the iStand 7 coming to market: the basic 7, the 7A, and the 7Pro. Here’s how each differs:
Basic iStand 7: The most basic and cheapest of the three, this version will protect your iPhone and give you 3000mAh of extra power. It can also be turned into a kickstand, which is perfect for following a recipe when cooking or using Facetime when your hands are full.
Model 7A: Referred to by the manufacturer as the Audio version, it adds to the core model’s features a 3.5mm audio jack. This will enable you to use your older headphones again if you’re an iPhone 7 owner.
Model 7Pro: The Swiss-army-knife of MFI cases is the iStand 7 Pro. It has all the features of the basic and 7A; however, it also provides wireless charging via its MFI-certified QI charging function.
Case size and colors
If you were to include the 1mm raised screen-protecting bezel, the overall thickness of the iStand 7 is 12.9mm. If you compare that to its direct competitors, Mophie’s nearest case is 15.5mm, and Apple’s smart battery case is 14.5mm, making the case from YoStand, the clear winner.
From the initial launch, there will be two colors available: black and pink. However, if and when YoStand reaches its funding target of $30,000, a new red variation will become available.
