Muddy Waters Capital today launched a new website – www.profitsoverpatients.com – with several videos that demonstrate and prove the significant cybersecurity vulnerabilities with St. Jude Medical’s implantable cardiac devices. This includes new information since its first report in August about the vulnerability of the St. Jude programming computer that allows doctors to communicate and deliver commands to pacemakers and defibrillators as well as information provided by a St. Jude whistleblower. Muddy Waters has heard from several whistleblowers and cardiologists who believe St. Jude has a history of ignoring problems that could have a significant impact on patients’ health.
Muddy Waters continues to have a short position in St. Jude Medical (STJ) and will benefit financially if shares of the company fall.
Below some videos from the site.
See how poor St. Jude’s device cyber security really is – including shocking (literally) new revelations about hacks that St. Jude says aren’t possible. Is St. Jude management too focused on trying to sell to Abbott to know they’re giving some completely wrong assurances?
Seeing is believing – the following videos demonstrate in detail four new attacks that show [email protected] can be made to broadcast potentially lethal commands to implantable devices.
