Pokemon Go requires your smartphone’s built-in ability to communicate with orbiting satellites to ascertain its location on the surface of the earth, but if you use a piece of $300 hardware, it is possible to send a false position signal to a satellite and give yourself an edge while playing Pokemon Go.
Doing so could get you arrested for using a signal jammer, but the upside (for a fanatical player) is that he/she would be able to transport their Pokemon hunter anywhere in the world without actually going there.
