The Pangu team has just released a new update for the English version of their iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak. This new update adds a new “embedded certificate,” which means it now contains a one-year enterprise certificate instead of a seven-day developer certificate, which is what the Chinese had in their version of the PP app.
What does this mean for you?
This change means that you no longer have to re-sign and sideload again because the embedded certificate will last for one year and not seven days, so no more re-jailbreaking with the need of a computer.
However, this is still a semi-untethered jailbreak, so you will have to re-jailbreak your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch every time your device reboots to put it back into jailbreak mode. It’s a pain, I know, but at least now you can do this via your device directly using the Pangu app and no computer.
Pangu 1.1 jailbreak: some positives
So what does these new update really offer you? To start with, you won’t have to start from the beginning to get the one-year certificate on the English jailbreak version. Plus, you can update your jailbreak so that it lasts for one year by just using the Pangu 1.1 version and the Cydia Impactor.
No untethered jailbreak
As for an untethered jailbreak for iOS 9.3.3, just a couple of days ago, Pangu confirmed via its official Reddit account that it as no plans to release one. So the only option for jailbreaking iOS 9.3.3 at the moment is to use the semi-tethered method and keep your fingers crossed for the future!
