With the announcement, Tesla quickly acknowledged that this car is not for everyone but the price that you pay will help Tesla in the production of the Model 3.

“It’s a pretty big change in the battery module and pack technology,” said JB Straubel, CTO of Tesla, in his remarks today. “It’s a complete redo on the cooling architecture.”

While most love the idea of an environmentally responsible automobile with both comfort and style, the addition of a car that is now the world’s third fasting getting to 60MPH, is a game changer when it comes to how many view electric vehicles.
