Have you heard that there is now a way to download and install Pokemon Go++, the hacked version of the popular game, without needing a jailbroken iPhone? In this article, I am going to tell you how to get it.
If you are new to jailbreaking, you might have decided to do it because of your love for the Pokemon Go game and hoped that the recent PanGu iOS 9.2-9.3.3 jailbreak would allow you to take advantage of tweaks and other ways to get the most out of the game. At the moment, the game’s developer, Niantic, would rather that you play the game the way it wants you to, but with tweaks, you can do things like tapping your iPhone screen to get your trainer to walk to new locations.
Thankfully, there is a way to take advantage of this extra functionality without having to jailbreak your iOS device. This is done by side-loading a custom-hacked version of v1.2.2 of the Pokemon Go app, also known as Pokemon Go++. Here’s how you can get it.
Before we begin, you should be aware that the game’s developer can detect accounts that are using hacked versions of the game, so by using the Pokemon Go++ app, you run the risk of having your account blocked or banned.
Requirements
- A computer running on OS X/MacOS or Windows
- An iOS device that is capable of running iOS 9 and later
- The latest version of iTunes
Please follow these instructions to the letter. Give yourself time to understand each step before moving to the next.
Step 1: If you already have Pokemon Go installed on your iOS device, uninstall it.
Step 2: Next, download Cydia Impactor from cydiaimpactor.com. This will enable you to side-load IPA files as official ones onto your device.
Step 3: Download the IPA file for the hacked version of Pokemon Go 1.3.1/Pokemon Go++ for iOS from here.
Step 4: Now, connect your iOS device to your Mac or Windows computer via a USB cable.
Step 5: Once it is connected, launch the Cydia Impactor tool, and then drag the Pokemon Go IPA file, which you downloaded in step 3, onto the Cydia Impactor screen.
Step 6: When requested, you should enter the email address and password of a valid Apple ID. You should be aware that the account needs to be an active one. If you have what is called a burner ID, use that.
Step 7: You should next see an “Apple Developer Warning;” click OK and move to step 8.
Step 8: Go to the Settings app on your device and launch it, and then got to Settings –> General –> Profiles & Device Management. However, not all versions of iOS are the same, so you may have to follow this path: Settings –> General –> Device Management or Settings –> General profile.
Step 9: Next, under the Apple ID you used to sign the IPA files, tap on the Trust “[Apple ID”] choice, and then chose <emTrust again in the popup.
Step 10: The Pokemon Go++ app should now be verified on your device, and you can play the game whenever you want.
One last tip is to make sure that location services are switched on because if they are not, you will not be able to play the game.
