Galaxy Note 7 Launch Event: How To Watch Live Stream

Updated on

If you can’t make it to New York tomorrow for the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 launch, don’t be overly concerned as you can watch the live stream of the event and catch everything that happens from home in what has been described as amazing 360-degree action. In fact, there are a number of different ways in which you can watch the Galaxy Note 7 launch.

How to watch Galaxy Note 7 launch event

The first option is to view the event live on your mobile phone or computer. To do this, visit Samsung Mobile’s YouTube page or type www.samsing.com/galaxy into your web browser and then choose the 360 Live Stream.

If you’re lucky enough to be the owner of a Samsung Gear VR, then your experience of the Galaxy Note 7 launch can be an even more exciting one. All you have to do is download the Unpacked 360 View app from the Oculus Store and then run it when the show begins, using the Gear VR at 11 a.m. Eastern on August 2 (Tomorrow).

Galaxy Note 7 rumored specs

Thanks to Steve Hemmerstoffer (aka @OnLeaks) we now have a full spec list for the Galaxy Note 7. However — and I want to make this clear — these should be read and understood with a grain of salt because we won’t get confirmation of them until the event!

This most recent of the spec leaks suggests that the device will have a 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED display and an octa-core chipset clocked at 2.3 Ghz (This could be the Exynos 8890 used in the Galaxy S7). It is also expected to have 4GB of RAM, 64 GB of ROM plus a microSD slot, a 12MP f/1.7 camera with OIS and 4K video, a 5MP front-facing camera, a 3,500 mAh battery, USB Type-C and possibly an iris scanner. The leak also suggests that the Galaxy Note 7 measures 153.5mm x 73.9mm x 7.9 mm and weighs 168 grams.

If the above specs are somewhat familiar to you, that is because they are almost exactly what can be found in the Galaxy S7 Edge, apart from a slightly larger display and a smaller battery. But why would Samsung do this? The answer could be that it wants to reduce the perception issues it has had, as consumers think that the Note series is superior to the S series because of its larger model numbers.

The Galaxy Note 7

The actual official details of the device are expected to appear on Samsung’s website not long after its announcement. Preorders may start at the same time. It won’t be long until we know how accurate all of the leaks/rumors we’ve seen of late have been.

With regards to the most recent rumors about the handset, it is believed that it may be extremely similar in design to the Galaxy S7 Edge. Some critics are already suggesting (pre-launch) that the handset should be considered to be only a bandage and not something that will thoroughly improve on what has gone before.
