Private Equity: Top States And Districts In 2015 [Chart]

According to the findings, New Jersey ranked thirteenth in the U.S. in terms of investment from private equity, with $14.69 billion in capital invested. The state also ranked ninth in terms of private equity-backed businesses, with 121 companies.

In all, private equity firms invested over $625 billion in more than 3,700 U.S.-based companies last year.
