Forget iOS 9.3.2, iOS 10 Is Already Jailbroken

Updated on

As you know it was only at the beginning of this week, that Apple unveiled its beta developer edition of iOS 10. Since then everyone and their mothers has been trying to get their hands on a copy of the mobile operating system, and if the news being leaked is true. It looks like well-known iOS hacker iH8sn0w who developed a Sn0wbreeze and iFaith has yet again worked his magic. However, this time, the claim is about a iOS 10 jailbreak and a video to prove it!

iOS 10 Jailbreak

It seems almost unbelievable that someone so soon after its release is claiming to have jailbroken iOS 10. Personally, I am a little cautious, even with video evidence. After all, it is quite easy to say you’ve done something and create a video the real proof will be in a public wide release!

Anyway, back to the story. A few days ago iH8sn0w hinted that he had a jailbreak for iOS 10 when he tweeted that Cydi worked fine with iOS 10.

Furthermore, earlier today he placed a video online showing an iPhone 5 with iOS 10 running on it with what looks like an untethered jailbreak!

iBoot Exploit

Wait a minute, the video also shows the jailbreak running on a 32-but device, which is also teasing us with verbose mode. I’m assuming that this means that this particular jailbreak relies on an older iBoot exploit. This exploit method allows a device to be jailbroken for life. Which is not a bad thing, furthermore, what this could do is help other jailbreakers develop a jailbreak solution that works across all devices, even 64-bit one like the iPhone 6s Plus.

Will it be Released to the Public?

This is where I always become a little skeptical, why would you talk about a jailbreak if you are not going to release it to the public? Yes, I know there are a few different reasons why this would be the case, but I would much prefer someone who won’t share remain silent what do you think?

As it currently stands there has been no word from iH8sn0w, about whether he intends to share this iOS 10 jailbreak, so all we can do is wait and see.

Other iOS Jailbreaks

With the official release of the public iOS 10 beta coming soon, many people are yet to get their hands on a copy or even find a workable jailbreak for iOS 9.3.3 beta and lower. So as always, the best thing to do is wait and see what happens. However if you’re still itching to get hands on iOS 10 early, go here to see if your iOS device is compatible and here to learn how to get it.
