Activist Insight May Activism Round-Up
A total of 63 companies worldwide were publicly subjected to activist demands during the month, one more than in the same period last year. Signs of a slow-down in the US market were noticeable, however, with Europe and Asia picking up the slack.

- Activist-owned equities totalled $265 billion at the end of May 2016.
- US stocks held by activists declined by an aggregate 1.1% during May 2016, while the S&P 500 Index posted a small gain.
