Fans waiting for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare now have something to cheer about. Activision has not only officially announced the game but also revealed key details, including story, gameplay and release date. To create more curiosity among fans, a trailer has also been released.

To include Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be available to the worldwide audience on November 4. The game developed by Infinity Ward (as expected) will support PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It will take place in a totally new setting for the Call of Duty series: space. The game will introduce new weapons and abilities and will give the players the thrill of combating on ground and piloting high-speed space-fighters.

Activision will offer Legacy and Digital Legacy Editions; a Digital Deluxe Edition; and a Legacy Pro Edition of Infinite Warfare. The Legacy Edition will also offer a “true high-definition” remaster of 2007’s Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Infinity Ward is the executive producer for Modern Warfare Remastered, which was developed by Raven.

Rumors that this year’s version of the warfare game would be titled Infinite Warfare first surfaced in April. After this, there were reports that Activision has filed a trademark application for the title. As of now, there are not many details available, but the game will have multiplayer and zombie modes. Further information on the both will be shared “later this year.”

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare offers new weapons and abilities

Activision describes the game as a “near seamless experience with few visible loading times,” with air and space combat being the “key aspect of the campaign.”

“This year, we’re both honoring the heritage of Call of Duty while taking players to incredible new heights,” said Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg. “Infinite Warfare is a bold, new vision from the studio that created the original Call of Duty and Modern Warfare, and an adventure on an insanely epic scale that only Call of Duty could deliver.”

Infinity Ward’s studio head, Dave Stohl, believes the new game will give players an experience they’ve never had before. Along with the ground war story the Call of Duty franchise is known for, the game’s future settings take players “on a journey of epic scale and proportions, providing incredible gameplay innovations and new experiences for our fans.”
