At least one person has been injured in a Paris shooting that happened close to a restaurant in the area of the Bastille. Several media outlets are reporting that several shots were fired on the Boulevard de la Bastille right outside a Chez Papa restaurant. Emergency personnel reportedly said one person was shot.

Although there is no official word on what caused the Paris shooting, media reports from BFMV-TB indicate that a group of men carrying weapons had an argument that escalated and then exchanged gunfire. Police reportedly detained one of the men, but two others escaped. The Telegraph suggests that the shooting could be gang-related as well.

The city is still on edge after ISIS terrorists killed 130 people all across the city less than six months ago. In that attack, eight or more militants staged a series of shootings and bombings. While the motive for Thursday’s shooting has not officially been announced, French broadcaster BFMV-TB doesn’t appear to think it is another terror attack.
