Greyhound Station Has Active Shooter In Richmond, VA

Updated on

ABC-affiliate WRIC in Richmond Virginia is reporting that both the Richmond Police and Virginia State Police are responding to what is believed to be an active shooter situation at the Greyhound bus station on North Boulevard in Richmond.

Richmond police have confirmed the news with WRIC and while details are sketchy 8 News reporter Kerri O’Brien has reported that as many as four people were being treated on the scene and are expected to be transported to a local hospital presently.

Virginia State Police have confirmed that two troopers along with a female civilian were shot at the scene and WTVR CBS 6 is reporting that the suspect was killed by the troopers.

However, this is contradicted by Virginia State Police spokeswoman Corinne N. Geller who said the suspect is in custody.

It appears that the Virginia State Police were on a training exercise at the Greyhound bus station when the shooting occurred.

We will continue to update this story as more information becomes available.
