LG Electronics has officially confirmed that its new modular smartphone LG G5 will be available in South Korea on March 31 and in the US on April 1. AT&T to reimburse $689 over 30 months
AT&T has listed the LG G5 at $23 per month on a Next 24 plan over a period of 30 months. If you want to buy it upfront, you’ll have to shell out $689. The carrier will give you a second G5 for free if you are willing to activate a new line. The second phone won’t be free per se because you’ll still be out the cost of two smartphones. But AT&T promises to reimburse $689 over a 30 month period.

Note that customers still have to pay activation fees and sales taxes on both the handsets at the time of purchase. AT&T said both new and existing customers can avail this offer. The offer expires on March 31. Meanwhile, Best Buy is offering $100 savings on the G5 with purchase and activation from Sprint. Best Buy is also giving a $100 gift card with purchase and activation of a monthly plan.

Your LG G5 comes with a $90 worth of free bundle that includes a charging cradle, a replacement battery, and a USB-C to micro-USB adapter. The Korean company will also be giving away a modular digital camera add-on in certain markets. G5 features a 5.3-inch Quad HD display with 2,560 x 1,440 resolution. The device runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow right out of the box.
The smartphone includes a 4GB RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, an Adreno 530 GPU, and a 2800mAh battery.
