The latest story trailer for Uncharted 4 : A Thief’s End shows the dilemma that will face main character Nathan Drake.
It is thought that Uncharted 4 could be the last installment of the famous series. Some experts believe that it is the best game that will be released on the Sony PlayStation 4 this year.
Trailer drops for next instalment of popular series
The Uncharted series has sold over 36 million copies and total sales could reach 100 million, says market analyst DFC Intelligence. The series boosts hardware sales for Sony, and the latest installment will be no different.
Uncharted 4 will be released on April 26, and looks set to be the best game yet in the series. Experts put its success down to the mixture of storytelling and action which underpins the series, and has made Uncharted one of the most successful games ever on Sony platforms.
The new trailer maintains the series of moral dilemmas which face Drake. This time around the character has settled down with on-off girlfriend Elena, who has convinced him to live a calmer life.
Excitement growing over Uncharted 4
However Drake’s bad boy brother Sam has other ideas and shows up at the house. Sam isn’t done with adventuring, and makes a huge play to take Drake with him.
It seems that developer Naughty Dog has decided that an emotional tug of war will capture the attention of players.
The video begins and Sam says to Nathan: “We were meant for this, Nathan. You, me, together. We were destined for something great.” Later Elena can be heard rebuking Drake. “If you’re done lying to me, then you should stop lying to yourself.”
The cinematic trailer has impressed fans, but there was one glaring error. The video featured a piece of art from competitor Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.
The painted seaside landscape was noticed by an artist that worked on Assassin’s Creed, and they took to Twitter to point out the mistake. Naughty Dog later apologized and uploaded a new video.
“In our eagerness to get the story trailer out, we made a regrettable mistake and didn’t thoroughly vet the art work used for an in-game painting,” read a statement.
Mistakes aside the gaming community is getting more and more excited about Uncharted 4, and with good reason.
