Charles Khan’s Hedge Clippers shut down major investor conference

Charles Khan on shutting down the hedge fund conference at the Waldorf:

“We took the back door in. I’m not sure what their security was like before, but I’m happy we were able to get in now. We had a message for the Hedge Fund managers inside. We want to make sure they are paying their fair share, right, so we have the money to invest in the important things Americans need, Infrastructure to schools, like we have bridges and roads falling apart across America.”

Charles Khan on putting out a press release saying they were coming and no security:

“There were some police officers there, but we were able to make our way into the investors conference and share our message.”

Charles Khan on whether he is looking towards Donald Trump or Bernie Sanders for a candidate:

“I think they both have the right idea. Right, the idea is that the people aren’t paying their fair share. Donald Trump said these guys are getting away with murder.”

Charles Khan on why not protest Congress since they hold the key to changing the carried interest rule:

“I think you hear from Donald Trump to Bernie Sanders the people that really hold the key are the people that are funding these campaigns and a lot of these people are in private equity, a lot of these people are hedge fund managers.”

Charles Khan on how he is funded:

“We are kind of run and funded by community groups all across the country. From teachers to janitors to working class people. We are supported by a lot of people.”
