Residents of Karlstad, Sweden report that an explosion has been heard at a secondary school there. Information is scarce right now, but Sky News Founder Kay Burley tweeted that the local fire chief confirmed that the blast came from inside the school:

School in Sweden evacuated
Media outlets in Sweden are reporting that emergency officials have evacuated the school where the explosion happened. SVT is reporting that the blast could be heard all across the central part of Karlstad. Not long after the explosion was heard, witnesses reportedly saw smoke rising from the roof of the Thingvellir Upper Secondary School’s gym. They also told SVT that the explosion set off car alarms several blocks away on Main Street.
So far there are no reports of injuries in the explosion, although emergency workers aren’t ruling out injuries. Investigators are on scene to determine what happened. So far officials haven’t found anything in the gym and say that there’s no serious damage there.
