The Samsung Galaxy Note series has become a major plus point for the Korean manufacturer in recent years. Although the Galaxy S range remains the flagship series for Samsung, the positive critical response that the Galaxy Note releases have received in recent years has ensured that the status of the two devices is now close to equal.

Samsung has particularly packed Galaxy Note releases with outstanding specifications over the last couple of years, and this has led fans of Android devices to demand a great deal from the range. So Samsung devotees will have a rich wish list ahead of the release of the Galaxy Note 6. Here are some of the features that Samsung may thus choose to include in this major phablet.

The big thing that every Samsung fan is hoping for from the Galaxy Note 6 is 4K resolution. This is becoming an increasingly mainstream technology, and it is something that Sony has already embraced in its smartphone series. With Samsung having become associated with high-quality screen technology, not merely in the mobile sphere but also televisions as well, it certainly seems natural that the corporation should make the switch to 4K resolution.

The funds' returns outperformed their benchmark due to their tilt toward value, high exposures to energy and financials and a bias toward quality. In his first-quarter letter Read More

In addition to the detail of the display included in the Galaxy Note 6, there could be a greater emphasis placed on the curved screen variant of the device. And Android consumers will also be hoping that Samsung finds a way to increase the screen size of the Galaxy Note 6. It is possible that the display could exceed six-inches if Samsung listens to the desires of consumers, and nifty design parameters should enable the corporation to achieve this without increasing the overall size of the smartphone.

Galaxy Note 6 Camera

Camera technology is becoming increasingly important for smartphones, and the upcoming Galaxy Note is no exception to this rule. Forthcoming handset releases from numerous major manufacturers are linked with outstanding camera technology, but there are two particular elements of the Galaxy Note 6 snapper that would stand out for customers.

Firstly, if Samsung could deliver the 30-megapixel capabilities that have been linked with the Galaxy Note 6 then this would be pretty mind blowing. And if this could be coupled with improved low-light shooting, possibly by increasing the size of the sensor in the Galaxy Note 6, then Samsung would have a fantastic device on its hands.

Galaxy Note 6

If Samsung indeed includes such a powerful camera and detailed screen resolution in the Galaxy Note 6, there is no doubt that the device will also need an extremely powerful processor in order to handle it. With this in mind, the Galaxy Note 6 has been linked with a 3.1 GHz 16-core processor that would make the device a superbly powerful performer.

It is not clear at the time of writing whether Samsung will ultimately opt to utilize its proprietary Exynos technology, or whether it will instead give the green light for Qualcomm to resume its relationship with the company by introducing the Snapdragon to the Galaxy Note 6. Possibly there will be separate devices with each processor designated for different geographical locations. But an extremely powerful processor will be needed if the Galaxy Note 6 is to combine its specifications with slick operation.

Galaxy Note 6

A pretty staggering 8 GB of RAM memory has been linked with the Galaxy Note 6, and this coupled with the proposed 16-core processor would enable Samsung to deliver a phenomenally powerful phablet.

Similarly, fans of the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will hope that the Korean corporation includes a 128 GB storage option when it releases the Galaxy Note 6. The premium on storage is becoming increasingly evident, and if users are to store 4K video in their Galaxy Note 6 devices then a significant amount of storage space will be an absolute necessity.

Laptop features

Another interesting aspect of the Galaxy Note 6 that has been emerged in recent weeks is the suggestion that it could double as a laptop. This unique dual-capability of the device would certainly be a major innovation, but a leak patent suggests that the Galaxy Note 6 will have a “phablet dock” allowing for a small keyboard to be attached.

Dual OS

In accordance with the laptop idea, it has also been suggested that the Galaxy Note 6 could feature a dual-operating system innovation. This would certainly be a major technological challenge for Samsung, as it is not something that has been successfully achieved in the smartphone marketplace previously.

Nonetheless, Samsung is being linked with introducing a Windows-based operating system for the Galaxy Note 6, which would run in parallel to the usual Android OS. This has already created quite a stir on Android-following blogs and websites, and could be the headline news about the Galaxy Note 6 when it is ultimately released.

Flexible Display

Samsung first demonstrated a flexible display some years ago at a Consumer Electronics Show, and it now seems viable from a commercial standpoint. There is no doubt that the technology is in place to introduce flexible displays to the Galaxy Note 6, but by the time that the release date of the device rolls around, it could also be financially viable for Samsung.

Color choices

In accordance with Apple’s predilection for the iPhone and Apple Watch ranges, it is suggested that Samsung could introduce several color choices when of the Galaxy Note 6 is released. Customization is becoming increasingly important for the smartphone marketplace, as consumers become ever more demanding. Samsung could satisfy this with the Galaxy Note 6 by offering numerous color choices to purchasers.

Other features

Finally, other features that consumers would love to see in the Galaxy Note 6 include fingerprint scanners, fast wireless charging, and micro SD support ranging from 32 to 128 GB. Recent media reports have also suggested that a compass, blood pressure and heart rate sensors, and a barometer and thermometer could be included in the phablet when it is finally released.

  2. Nick, suggest you don’t overdo it. You made a point…OK.
As for stupidity shown, maybe you should think a bit about your own comments … !!
    Enjoy your speculation….

  3. I think with iOS 9 they open up a lot. Sure I can enjoy multi Windows on a note 5 but do I use it? Sure my old S6 was faster but it doesn’t bother me. Maybe I should say that I am not a power user. Could be that is the reason that I prefer the iPhone. At work they won’t let me use a android phone. Only iPhone or blackberry.

I also love hand over so I can receive a phone call on all my devices and that’s what I like don’t need to look for my phone …

  4. I don’t understand all these people commenting about how this is all bulls and just a wish list. No s it’s just a wish list. The title of the article literally says “WISH LIST”. If you’re looking for facts, you’re not going to be getting them for a while. Anything you read, will be a wish list/rumor. The amount of stupidity shown in the comment section of these articles is ridiculous.

  5. Did the writer say it would be anything other than a wish list? No. So why are you complaining? You shouldn’t have read it if you didn’t want to read a wish list.

  6. yep, they want people to buy new devices when the battery wears out. i swap my note3 battery all the time and dont have to be plugged in a wall like the other idiots, or carry bulkier charger packs. a battery gets switched out in about 15 seconds and you are good to go!

  7. Same here for me this world of so called portable gadgets have you noticed how these manufacturers are pulling the wool over our eyes…in the name of portability they trap the power source permanently inside the gadget…that is the logic they have built into their marketing hype and we are supposed to fall for it ….they do the same for battery powered tooth brushes….and most people seem to fall for the hype….and these article writers must be reading the same brief as the marketing people who want to sell these so called portable products….
My Note 4 and Note 3 are going to work for my needs for as long as it takes for Samsung to come to its senses….Saying that I have lost all respect for all other manufacturers and seems like Samsung may be one more company I will have to ditch.

  8. You can not use the same display for everything. S pen is nice but not enough nice to use it as replacement standard papers

  9. What about improving the note option and adding s paper additionaly to s pen with a possibility to connect it as a keyboard which would have a use just like standard papers with a possibility to send it to note as a pdf or word. S paper for better use in classrooms.

  10. This article isn’t well informed. It’s just stringing together a lot of people’s wish lists. Was expecting more e.g a comparison of USB 3.1 to removable battery etc

  11. As mentioned previously, a Note 6 with no removable battery and no micro SD card is of no interest to me.

I have owned every Note offering since the 2 have pasded on the 5 due to a lack of the above features.

For people on the move with extensive collections of data and the removable battery and micro SD slot are necessary.

  12. Anyone who knows how to use a smartphone can come up with a Wish List….
This article is nothing, nothing but a wishlist masquerading as a knowledgeable industry lead.
    Waste of time…

  13. Many of us cant do without the removable battery bcoz we hate having to wait for our phone to fully charged. We always have an extra battery kit so the moment battery is near empty we just swap in 4 seconds. Very convenient. Micro sd is another one. I have pictures, music and ten thousand of ebook collection. When i change phone i just insert my memory card to the new phone then presto! My collection is intact.

  14. Why is a removable battery such a big deal? Same with the micro SD. What do you put on your phone that you need a micro sd for?

  15. “The big thing that every Samsung fan is hoping for from the Galaxy Note 6 is 4K resolution”

That’s what every idiotic tech journalist is hoping for, along with a 100 MP camera, 32 GB RAM, 128 core processor @ 140.5 GHz, 0.8 mm thickness, and sapphire crystal backplate with a pure gold frame.

  16. I went from an iPhone to the Note 5 and am by far more pleased with the Note. I’m not sure if you’ve had any experience with the N5 but in my experience almost all aspects are better. It has faster on board memory and ram, an outstanding camera, a proper filling system, real multi window multitasking, an open eco system. For instance, if you can’t find the app you like, just do a search for an APK that does because you can install apps from outside the app store. That’s just to name a few. Not to mention the S Pen which puts it into a league of its own in and of itself. I’m no fanboy for either company but I can tell you my experience from having both devices.

I don’t think I could go back to having a device without the S Pen. You wouldn’t believe how useful it is. It’s crazy!

Apple just feels too restrictive now after working with the note. Anyway, my two cents. Thanks!

  17. Ok don’t understand why you think a note is better than an iPhone. There are a lot things the note 5 does better but never understand battery life from the note 5 or the latest S6 I can go easily two days. The note 4 was the best phone that Samsung ever made. Oh well hopefully they find there way back with the note 6 until than I carry my iPhone and honestly very happy with it

  18. Would like to see Note 6 before the S7.
The display on the S6 is too narrow.
And with a wider display & a larger battery.
If the display is the same as the S6.
    I would not be interested.

  19. I love my note. I had a iPhone and it was no where as nice as this. Just got a new iPhone for my son because that is what he wanted. What a pain in the as . Apple is going to pay for child labor. Steve Jobs already has with his life.

  20. Absolutely Viking, lack of a micro SD and removable battery are a deal breaker for me. Love my Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy line in general, but I wont hesitate to jump ship to LG if they dont include the the battery and micro SD.
