Want More Than GoPro’s Trim+Share Does? There Is An App

Updated on

Earlier this week, GoPro unveiled a new feature called Trim+Share to make it easier for users to create short video clips almost instantly and share them with your friends. It eliminates the need to transfer the entire video to a PC, find that epic moment, edit it into a seconds-long video clip, and share with your friends.

How Antix recognizes your best moments

In case you didn’t know, there is an app called Antix that does more things than GoPro’s Trim+Share. The app automatically identifies the best moments in your footage based on motion. And then it edits these out into a highlight clip for you. That means you don’t even have to go through the entire video and trim a short clip. You can spend more time doing the action sports you love.

Once you have downloaded the app, simply connect to your GoPro’s WiFi, press the record button and go. However, it’s essential that you use Antix to start and stop recording. Keep the phone in your pocket to allow it to track the motion. After you have finished with your action sports, press the stop button. Antix analyzes your motion data using its Capture Technology to recognize the epic moment and edit it into a short clip.

Control your GoPro camera from Android Wear

Moreover, Antix allows you to control your GoPro right from the Android Wear. Users can also share videos right from the app to Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and other networks. The Antix app is compatible with GoPro’s Hero3, Hero3+, and Hero4 cameras. The app relies on Google Maps to locate and pinpoint where the amazing moments were.

On the other hand, GoPro’s Trim+Share requires you to watch the entire video to recognize the exciting moments before you can trim it into 5-, 15-, or 30-second clips. You can trim the footage right on GoPro app or the action camera without having to transfer the footage to a PC. Just press the Trim icon in the playback mode, select the length of the clip from your video, and save it for sharing.
