Apple’s next flagship phone, the iPhone 6S, is soon going to be announced. The company usually announces its new phones during the month of September, and this time probably won’t be any different. Apart from the iPhone 6S, we can also expect the iPhone 6S Plus, and some rumors also suggest an iPhone 6C, though nothing is official yet.
So let’s take a look at five predictions for the iPhone 6S.
Carlson Capital's Black Diamond Arbitrage Partners fund added 1.3% net fees in the first quarter of 2021, according to a copy of the firm's March 2021 investor update, which ValueWalk has been able to review. Launch date of iPhone 6S
So when is the iPhone 6S going to be available? The official launch date has not been announced, but according to BuzzFeed’s John Paczkowski, a very reliable source says Apple will announce the new iPhones on Sept. 9. He says, “The company intends to hold a special event the week of Sept. 7, with Wednesday being the most likely date.” In fact, this is the same date Apple announced the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus last year.
So if the date of announcement of the new iPhone 6S is going to be Sept. 9, then from when can you start ordering it? As per rumors, preorders will start Sept. 11, while in-store sales will start Sept. 18.
However, if you really want to get your hands on the device, you should act quickly. Apple usually starts preorders at midnight on the release date, and the device usually sells out within hours.
New A9 processor
As you would expect, the iPhone 6S is expected to be more powerful compared to its predecessors. It will likely boast Apple’s A9 processor with a new Qualcomm chip on board. These upgrades should help the phone deliver faster LTE speeds and an improved battery life. LTE drains the battery faster, and that’s where this new chip would help in the situation.
Apart from that, Apple might also upgrade the RAM to 2GB, something it has never done in the past. This would be the first phone that would feature 2GB of RAM. With this upgrade, one can definitely expect a fast phone.
If you are expecting a redesigned iPhone, then you will probably be disappointed. So don’t set your expectations high, and expect the iPhone 6S to look much like the current iPhone 6 design, since this is only an “S” upgrade. Apple typically doesn’t redesign the device when launching an “S” phone.
However, Apple might fix the bendgate issue. The problem with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus is that the device bends. How the company fixes this issue is worth seeing.
Expect the iPhone 6S to run on the new mobile operating system, iOS 9, right out of the box. However, all other iPhones will need to wait for the iOS 9 update to arrive on their phone. That’s a privilege you only get with new phone.
You can also expect Force Touch with the iPhone 6S, something Apple debuted with its Apple Watch and new MacBook. Force Touch is basically a pressure sensitive input technology.
