NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–First Data Corporation announced today that it has filed a registration statement on Form S-1 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) relating to a proposed initial public offering of its common stock. The number of shares to be offered, the price range, and the stock exchange listing for the proposed offering have not yet been determined. The company intends to use the net proceeds from the offering for the repayment of certain indebtedness.
The proposed offering will be made only by means of a prospectus. A copy of the preliminary prospectus may be obtained, when available, from the book-running manager(s) of the proposed offering when identified.
