T-Mobile – Dish Merger To Be Completed In “Two Weeks” [REPORT]

Updated on

FOX Business Network’s (FBN) Charlie Gasparino reports that “bankers very close” to the potential T-Mobile – Dish merger say the deal will be completed in “about two weeks,” and that “this deal was done about a month ago or two months ago.” Gasparino also reports, DISH CEO Charlie “Ergen offered the CEO job to Mr. [T-Mobile CEO John] Legere.”

On whether the potential T-Mobile – Dish merger will be completed in two weeks:

“Bankers very close to this deal confirming that they are in talks, that they say about two weeks they think this thing is going…they think it’s going to take about two weeks. And here is why, basically this deal was done about a month ago or two months ago and the only thing holding it up was both sides, Ergen and Legere… wanted to see what was going on with Comcast and Time Warner. Obviously, that didn’t work out and also AT&T and AT&T’s current deal with DirecTV, they wanted to see if that was going to happen and it looks like that is going to happen…we should point out that Ergen offered the CEO job to Mr. Legere for a precise reason as an enticement that’s what bankers are saying.”
