Google Debuts ‘Undo Send’ Feature For Gmail

Updated on

Gmail recently launched a useful feature all users can appreciate. The company debuted the “Undo Send” button, which allows users to unsend emails before it’s too late. There is only one caveat with the feature, and that is that it can be used only up to ten seconds after the user presses the send button.

Google unveils new feature after 6 years

Google worked on perfecting the button for six years, so it’s been a long time coming. The search giant confirmed the new feature in a blog post with the following message:

“Previously a popular feature in Gmail Labs, and recently added to Inbox by Gmail, today we’re adding ‘Undo Send’ as a formal setting in Gmail on the web.”

It has yet to be announced when the feature will arrive on the Gmail apps for iOS and Android. Fortunately, the feature was added to the Inbox mobile app for email. Surprisingly, the web update comes just one month after Google rolled out the feature to Inbox users. Just last week, the tech giant expanded its experimental features with another update. The update includes a feature that allows users to set up email reminders for important tasks. Google wants to set the standard for email service, and adding these new features will certainly help.
