Elliott Management is taking aim at Alcatel-Lucent given its sale to Nokia. Elliott owns 1.3% of Alcatel (equity swaps).
Recall that Odey Asset Management took Alcatel to task last month over the buyout price offered by Nokia – saying the offer was unacceptable.
It’s unclear what Elliott will push for, but it’s worth noting that it likely won’t be able to stop the deal. Only half of the Alcatel shares have to approve the deal.
