Drone Investigates Mysterious Crop Circles In Russia

Updated on

A drone has taken amazing footage of mysterious crop circles in Russia. The unexplained crop circles appeared in a wheat field in the republic of Adygea over the weekend. According to The Moscow Times, local farmer Sergei Anisimov discovered six connected circles of different sizes in a relatively ordinary field. The circles that pressed wheat plants perfectly in a clockwise manner ranged from 7 to 13 meters in diameter.

Two circles had a ‘crater’ in the center

Puzzled by the mysterious circles, local residents in southern Russia sent a drone to ‘investigate’ these circles. The footage captured by drone shows six rings in a field in the foothills of the Western Caucasus Mountains. The two biggest circles had completely flat wheat, while the smaller ones had untouched wheat standing in the center. The two largest circles also had half a meter deep ‘crater’ in the center, reports RT News.

Sergei Anisimov told the Interfax news agency that he drove by the field at 9:00 PM on Saturday and did not see any circles. He returned there at 5:00 AM on Sunday and these rings were already there. He added that the wheat field’s security guards had not noticed any suspicious activity that night. Even though the patterns were discovered on Sunday, the aerial footage could not be taken at the time of discovery due to the high winds.

Crop circles nothing new in Russia

Meanwhile, similar crop circles have been spotted in the village of Mirny in Moscow region. In Mirny, two giant oval shapes and a 10-meter wide circle were discovered. Volunteers have collected soil samples to determine the origin of these circles. Appearance of such circles is nothing new in Russia. Similar markings appeared in a sunflower field in the Krasnodar region last year, which prompted locals to conclude that aliens must have paid a visit to Russia.

In the last 10 years, crop circles have been spotted in Moscow, Adygea, Krasnodar, Shovgenovsky, Giaginsky and Maykop regions. But these circles remain a mystery. Many have cited electromagnetic radiation and aliens as possible causes, while some others argue that the circles are man-made.
