A look at the Xperia Z4

Nothing has changed on the screen front between the Z3 and Z4. Both phones feature 5.2-inch displays complete with resolutions of 1920 x 1080 pixels. One of the notable differences between the phones is the battery. The new model comes with a slightly smaller battery with a capacity of 2930 mAh. There are no pricing details or international release dates. The new Z4 phone follows the earlier release of the Z4 tablet.

Sony’s entry into the 4K TV market

In other Sony-related news, the company reportedly plans to debut Android 4K televisions later this year. The tech giant first introduced the television sets at the Consumer Electronics Shows earlier this year. The Japanese company recently revealed release dates and pricing for most of the sets. The television sets run the Android operating system instead of Sony’s previous software. This change will give the TVs a richer experience and access to popular third-party apps.

The majority of Sony’s new televisions feature large displays. Even though there will be fewer options in the 43-inch to the 55-inch range, Sony kept its focus on certain models which will dominate home theaters. This change means the company will offer televisions of 65 inches to 75 inches in size. Sony made it known that it isn’t out to compete with the likes of Vizio. It believes their televisions’ picture quality will stand out against the competition.
