Samsung’s much-awaited flagship smartphones Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge went on sale in 20 countries on Friday. The devices are getting a luxury makeover from Finnish luxury brand Legend. Helsinki-based Legend specializes in bespoke services for smartphones. The custom-made Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge models from Legend are available in 24K gold, platinum, rose gold and black gold.
Get you custom logo engraved on the Galaxy S6
Legend told us that the phones will be available in three elegant designs: Art Deco, Wild Thing and Alhambra. But each will be limited to only 10 pieces. Besides precious metals, there are a lot of customization options that potential buyers can choose at no extra charge. You can have your own custom logo engraved on the phones. Legend also offers hand engraving, but you have to provide them a photograph of the type of engraving you want.
Bespoke Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge buyers can add their own customization options such as diamond inlays, diamond inlaid logo and engraved hand inlays with gemstones. The Finnish luxury brand says that it applies an invisible ultra-thin coat formula to the plating to make it scratch proof and ensure that the customization retains its glow for years.
Legend’s bespoke Galaxy S6 starts at $2,320
Legend ships each custom-made Galaxy S6 in a luxury presentation box with a premium leather folder for the certificate of warranty and authenticity. The firm offers five years of warranty on its customizations. However, the custom-made Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are not for everyone, just like any other bespoke device.
The cheapest version of Legend’s Galaxy S6 costs 2,150 euros ($2,320) and goes up to 13,000 euros ($14,000) for the S6 or S6 Edge with VS1 grade diamond studded bezel. Legend ships the devices within 15 days of receiving an order.
Now that Samsung has launched its devices, we are likely to see more bespoke Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge version from other luxury brands in the next few weeks.
